YWAP smiles from around the world on one picnic table! |
As we began our camp on Friday evening, we had a meeting to go over our expectations. The first rule is this:
"Positive words only are spoken. We don't allow any negativity during any YWAP Program. You cannot call someone stupid, idiot, dumb or any other name that is negative. Only words that are encouraging and uplifting are allowed. This is a pretty big adjustment for most folks. When you step into the YWAP culture, your vocabulary changes along with your heart. Everyone is accepted and encouraged to be the best they can be.
Negative words make people feel broken."
How many different countries can fit in a YWAP Van? |

The young people in Buffalo are moving in the right direction. |
I learned about Boy Scouts growing up in Lake View, New York. Our Troop was 593 and our Scoutmaster Al Launder. We met in the Lake View Fire hall. Later my son Steve and I became part of Troop 238 with Scoutmaster Carl Rosati. We traveled to Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico. We learned about serving your neighbor. The picture above represents several countries and several religions. At Scout Camp we became one in the spirit of neighborliness. The rest of the pictures from camp can be found at:

Youth With A Purpose Inc. believes that "All children are gifted." One of our goals is to start a Foundation that will allow us to continue our purpose of helping children become world changers. Most of our young people come from the inner city and are witnesses of poverty, segregation, violence, and fatherlessness. We hope they will learn how to "help other people at all times."
